The Links at Brunello’s Mountain bike trails offer a mixed level riding experience with gradual climbs in a forested setting. Our trails are located only minutes from downtown Halifax, and conveniently only a few cranks away from the BLT trailhead.
The closest point of access for the trail is behind the Trinity Church on Trinity Way (across from Tim Horton’s). Due to the elevation gain and variety of terrain our 2.5 kms of bike trails are clearly marked with signage
for beginner, intermediate and advanced level trails to ride and were designed by local outdoor adventures group at Trail Flow.

Beginner
Generally smooth trails with rolling terrain and varied surfaces such as dirt, exposed bedrock and gravel. Low roots, rocks and other avoidable obstacles may be present. Requires basic bike handling skills and fitness. Optional Intermediate features and lines may be present.
Intermediate
Challenging riding that may contain steeper slopes, and larger obstacles, possibly on narrow trails with constructed features. These may include jumps, ramps, large roots or rocks, rollable drop-off’s and other technical elements. Must be an experienced rider. Optional Advanced features and lines may be present.
Advanced
More challenging riding, potentially with very steep slopes and rough terrain. Mandatory obstacles and features such as non-rollable drop off’s, jumps, rock faces, ledges, and unpredictable terrain may be present. Optional Expert features and lines may be present.
Expert (Future builds)
Very difficult riding, only for very experienced and highly skilled riders. Terrain width, steepness and surfacing may be wildly variable and unpredictable. Large mandatory drop-off’s, chutes, rock faces, and gap jumps may be present. Use extreme caution, inspect features first and walk sections if needed.
As with many sports, mountain biking involves the risk of injury, including serious injury, head injury, paralysis or death. The risk of injury increases with the degree of difficulty of the trail and the speed of the descent. Although the risk of injury can never be eliminated, the rider can manage the risk through controlling speed and choosing terrain appropriate for the rider’s skill and experience. Orientation sessions, lessons clinics and coaching offered through The Hub will also assist the rider in managing the risk of injury.
WARNING: Use of unauthorized trails which are not sanctioned, rated, monitored, maintained or patrolled by The Links at Brunello is not recommended. These trails do not form part of the Bear Mountain Resort network of trails. These unsanctioned trails contain unmarked hazards, obstacles, challenging terrain and features. The user of these trails will be exposed to many risks, dangers and hazards which could result in injury or death. Rescues or first aid performed by The Links at Brunello could be charged to the user by using this unsanctioned trail you freely accept and voluntary assume all risks of personal injury, death or property loss resulting from any cause whatsoever, including but not limited to the risks, dangers and hazards of: accessing the trail; using an unmaintained and isolated trail in steep, rugged and challenging terrain; collision or impact with natural or man-made objects or persons; travel within or beyond the area boundaries; or negligence, breach of contract, or breach of any statutory or other duty of care, including any duty of care owed under the occupiers liability act. The trail user agrees that The Links at Brunello shall not be liable for any such personal injury, death or property loss and releases The Links at Brunello and waives all claims with respect thereto. The Links at Brunello Academy offers professional golf instruction taught by a select team of trained and certified PGA of Canada Professionals. Whether you are looking for your first lesson or a series of lessons, private or group lessons, or even our season-long player development program, our team of professionals will deliver the best instruction that will help you play better golf.
We emphasize the individual’s unique set of skills by taking time to understand each student’s goals, commitment level and physical strengths and weaknesses so that we can provide a customized plan that will maximize each golfer’s opportunity to improve. Customized plans are developed through using the most accurate assessments, the most effective drills and training aids and tailoring individualized practice plans to efficiently turn weaknesses into strengths.
The end goal for each student is to develop maximum consistency that creates solid shots and a lifetime of enjoyment from this great game. No matter where your golf game is currently, there is always room for improvement.You can select from one of our options, or ask to have something fit your specific needs. Brunello Academy Camp & Clinic Registration, Change & Refund Policy:
• All Camps/Clinics must be paid in full to complete registration
• No student will be registered nor will there be spots held without full payment
Request to change dates
Requests to change camp/clinic dates will be accepted if there is room in the future camp/clinic. An administration fee of $25.00 will be assessed and all change requests must be made via email to academy@thelinksatbrunello.com. Students who have already started a camp/clinic may not request to change a date for that camp/clinic.
Cancellations & Refunds
Cancellations must be made by email to academy@thelinksatbrunello.com and are subject to the following:
• If the cancellation request is received more than 21 Days before the start date of the registered camp/clinic – a refund will be granted less the $25.00 administration fee per session/camper
• If the cancellation request is received between 10 and 20 Days from the start date of the registered camp/clinic, 50% of the cost of the camp will be refunded
• If the cancellation request is received 10 Days or less from the start date of the registered camp/clinic, no refunds shall be given – Cancellations after this date will result in complete forfeiture of camp fees (all payments are non-refundable and non-transferable)
Medical Cancellation
If a camper is unable to attend camp due to medical reasons, a full credit, less a $25.00 administrative fee, will be granted, provided we receive a letter from the camper’s physician. In the case of early withdrawal due to medical reasons (accident or illness), the camp fees may be prorated, provided we receive a letter from the camper’s physician ($25.00 administrative fee still applies).
We all know how important it is to introduce the next generation of golfers to the game. The Links at Brunello Golf Academy has created Junior Golf Programs aimed at making the game more fun and accessible for all. Our programs are geared for juniors ages 5 and up. All of our junior instruction, including clinics and camps, are designed with keeping the fun in the game, while learning the golf fundamentals, life skills, rules and etiquette. For those that are looking to take their game to a more competitive level, our Learn to Compete Program offers that specific pathway and to grow further within the competitive realm of junior golf.
The Links at Brunello Coaching Staff help golfers reach their goals, emphasize the individual’s unique set of skills and use each players own strengths and weaknesses to plan appropriate instruction, practice and play. Instructors analyze golfer’s swings and pay close attention to ball flight – teaching to the individual.
We offer a wide variety of programs to satisfy any skill level, regardless of experience. When working with our younger players, the concept of ‘Coaching’ rather than strictly ‘Instructing’ is emphasized. Such a framework will address golf and life skills as they pass through stages of development, encouraging fun and skill development for many years to come.

Yoga in the Pavilion

Shelley Baccardax has been practicing yoga for 18 years and completed her 200 hour teacher training in 2019. Her experience in fitness includes 8 years of leading group fitness and 2 years of personal training.
Shelley’s experience with yoga started as a form of exercise and quickly turned into a tool for self awareness and self care. Yoga is the relationship between the body, mind and breath. In each class students will be guided to lean into this relationship more and leave feeling more connected to themselves. Expect to try new movements, breathwork and to have some fun when you come to class.
Shelley Baccardax, RD, MPH
Sarah is the owner of Revive Yoga Therapy. She teaches group and private yoga classes and works with individuals in a therapy approach as an adjunct treatment and management of a multitude of health concerns.
Over the years, Sarah has taught a variety of yoga classes in many age groups including All Levels for Adults; Parent and Baby; and Kids Yoga both in and out of school.
Sarah received her 200 Registered Yoga Teacher Certification (RYT) in 2019 from YogaFit Worldwide and recently completed her 500 RYT in April 2020. She is currently continuing her yoga education and is working towards her Yoga Therapy Certification. Sarah is a member in good standing with Yoga Alliance and CanFit Pro. Sarah is passionate about teaching the many benefits of yoga and yogic teachings, while empowering people to take charge of their health and wellness.
